Cade Moran, a senior at Murrieta Mesa High in California, earned male field event athlete of the meet honors at the 54th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High. Moran improved on his national-leading shot put with a 66-10 (20.37m) performance in the sixth round, which equals the No. 5 performance in meet history, and and rallied to win the invitational discus on his final throw with a mark of 198-4 (60.45m), just off his 199-8 (60.85m) effort from April 6 in a Southwestern League dual meet against Murrieta Valley that ranks No. 2 in the country this season.
